Help Flumpo hack and slash those planets! Click and drag your mouse to slice through planets, and hold A, S, D, or F to highlight an area to slice through! Planets can only be destroyed if you slice through them while the current area is highlighted, so be quick! Make sure to slice completely through the planet - no shortcuts. The closer the planet is to the Optimal Mark when you slice through it, the more points you get. Escape key to pause and return to the main menu!

Note: the music used in the game consists of the tracks "Loyalty" and "Horology" by King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard from their 2017 album Polygondwanaland. The band released this album with an open source license. You can mute the music in the settings if you'd like though!

Art by the wonderful catghoststories!

Update 12/13/20: uploaded a small update with the last-minute changes I didn't have time to get in before the jam ended (since we're now allowed to update our entries!). Includes new button sprites, sound effects now actually being used and have appropriate settings for volume, adjusted spawn timers for a (hopefully) better experience. Also the game over state now prompts to replay or return to menu instead of relying on pausing the game to exit.

Cool concept. Unique way to develop mouse keyboard coordination. Could use a restart button but refreshing works fine

Thanks! You can actually press Escape to pause the game and return to the menu, but I forgot to mention that in the description on the page :c

Appreciate you checking it out! I'll upload a small update with some balance changes and polish soon.

There seems to be a bug that locks up the Unity player (no crash logs or anything) but I can't track down or reproduce it. I originally chalked it up to my version of Unity since it only happened once while working on the game, but I actually just had it happen once in the WebGL version uploaded here :c
